There are all kinds of different zones and as a coach it is important that you prepare for the ones that you think the other team might run against you. It is important to have good zone sets and a couple good zone motion offenses. A good motion offense can usually transfer from one similar zone (2-3/3-2) to another pretty easily because it is all about just moving the ball and cutting. The key to a good motion zone is teaching your players what to look for in it, spacing, and quick ball reversals. Zone sets are designed to get a specific shot by overloading a particular spot on the zone or misdirection.
