To make this basketball play work you need a point guard that can be aggressive while still reading the defense. A lot of times on 1-4 flat ball screens the rest of the players just stand there, and that is not good offense. As the ball handler comes off the screen the other players need to be relocating and finding an opening to receive the basketball. This will take advantage of any defender that goes to help, or is caught watching the ball.
